Heidi Yount is a photographer loving and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received a BFA in photography from the California College of Arts in 2002. For the last decade, her work has attempted to find a way to hold on to those half-forgotten, half-remembered memories, by documenting what remains in the places in between.
All of her images are shot using medium format film and you can often find her printing her work, even still, in the darkroom.
For the past three years Heidi has volunteered for the program First Exposures, a photography mentoring program that pairs under served youth with Bay Area photographs. Each year First Exposures hosts a auction/benefit to raise money in order to keep the program alive. This years benefit will be on April 26th from 6:00-9:00 at San Francisco Camerawork and will feature amazing work from the students as well as mentors and teachers. Please come and support a program near and dear to Heidi’s heart, and walk away with some amazing photography. First Exposure website
